The Tiny Beginning

The Tiny Ear Card Company began with a sketchpad, a little ear, and two very creative sisters. Zewditu was born with microtia, a congenital condition that affects the development of the ear. In her case, it resulted in an underdeveloped left ear and hearing loss on that side. To support her hearing, she now wears a bone-anchored hearing aid (BAHA). Drawing became a joyful way for her to build confidence, express emotion, and connect with her younger sister, Chora.

 

What started as something small between them has grown into something much bigger, a family-led card company built on love, creativity, and purpose.

Together, we turn their illustrations, along with family photos and shared memories, into meaningful greeting cards that celebrate connection. Each design begins at the kitchen table and is lovingly edited, scanned, and printed by us, right here in the UK. These are not just cards, they’re pieces of family, turned into art.

We’re proudly eco-conscious too, using recycled paper, compostable sleeves, and minimal packaging that reflects the values we care about. And because our story has been shaped by care, we give back with every card: supporting Microtia UK and Great Ormond Street Hospital through donations from every purchase.
